The Solution

The Junior marimba from Adams. It's a marimba, not a toy. It's playable by children age 6-16 and allows a young player build a harmonic and melodic approach to percussion at the age there concepts are most easily absorbed. How many first year conservatory students wish there had been such luxury before.
The bar width is the same as Adams Soloist series, but the frame adjust to a lower height allow young beginner to enjoy Adams quality and craftsmanship. Since there is ample height adjustment, the instrument can also serve adults as practice or teaching studio instruments.
Economical padouk bars are standard on the junior marimbas and the rails and resonators on the voyager frame system detach and fold in half so the instrument fits easy in the trunk of almost any car. The Adams junior marimba is available in three and four octave models.
