Profile :Jean-Paul is marketing director of Worldwind Music Ltd. He sits on the U.K. Government Qualification and Curriculum committee for Music (QCA), UK Music Industry Education Committee, is Chairman of Governors at a large school in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, is a Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and is also a member of the Institute of Directors. Having studied the flute in London with James Dower and George Crozier, Jean-Paul toured as a freelance flute player performing as a soloist and with orchestras in many of the major concert halls throughout the world. He has taught and lectured at Universities and music colleges around the world and is a regular tutor at prestigious UK flute courses such as the Stratford International Flute Festival, the Oxford Flute Summer School and the Harrogate International Flute Festival. He joined Trevor J. James & Co. in 1992 as the flute specialist responsible for working directly with musicians and teachers to establish Trevor J. James instruments as a global brand. He continues to maintain very close links with top professional musicians, teachers and educationalists in the UK and overseas and is a member of several important music education committees. Despite an already full schedule, his major passion remains working with flute students to give them the confidence and encouragement to fulfil their ambitions.
