Yamaha 200 series Standard Flutes

Standard series flutes are designed to be easy to play, while retaining the kind of tonal characteristics usually associated only with Professional models. Sturdy durability makes them ideal for beginners, while their accurate intonation helps students develop a good ear.

200 series flutes are carefully hand adjusted and go through a rigorous system of inspections and tests guaranteeing consistent high quality. They feature a similar design as the 400 series, but are designed for easy playability enabling beginners to sound as good as possible, as soon as possible. The tone is clear and attractive, and the intonation surprisingly accurate for a student instrument.

We have passed the knowledge and expertise gained in creating our most expensive Handmade flutes down through our professional line-up. Sharing many of the characteristics of our Handmade series, our Professional flutes feature the same refined design and a high degree of hand-craftsmanship.

Yamaha´s 500 series flutes are individually hand-crafted with sterling silver headjoints, and nickel-silver bodies, and footjoints. Characterized by a beautiful clear tone, they offer extremely accurate intonation and an easy playability. Several options are also available, such as a gold-plate finish and different wall thicknesses.

Trevor J James TJ10xII Series

One of the best beginner flutes in the world has been upgraded. The headjoint, already very free and easy blowing has been further improved which is ideal for the new player. Standard outfit consists of flute in all-in-one case and case cover. The Performer Series

A complete range for players of all standards. A choice of head joint options gives the player a wider range of tonal colours.

High specification range of flutes with standard or shaped hand finished headjoint. Hand finished key work, back-adjusting screws and professional double skin pads. Excellent for the beginner through to the Conservatory student. Unique amongst student flute manufacturers, Trevor J. James gives an option of headjoint to ensure the tonal flexibility to suit every player.

The Privilege (P2)

Silver-plated throughout, this excellent first flute gives complete tonal flexibility and ease of mechanism facility for the new player. Hidden adjusting screws, advanced
headjoint design featuring over-cutting and under-cutting of the embouchure hole. Open and closed hole with or without ´E´ mechanism options, plus French style wooden case and fleecy lined case cover with shoulder strap. Additional ´B´ footjoint option further differentiates it from the 10x MkII.

The Cantabile (C2)

The step-up flute for the player requiring just that ´little bit more´ from their sound.
Solid head with silver-plated body, footjoint and mechanism. Open or closed hole mechanism with or without ´E´ mechanism and optional ´B´ footjoint. Traditional or ´Shaped´ headjoint plus 9k riser and 9k lip plate and riser options. All flutes are supplied with French style wooden case and black leather case cover with shoulder strap, wooden cleaning rod and gauze cloth.

The Virtuoso (V2)

For the player who takes their flute playing seriously.
Solid headjoint, body and footjoint tube with silver-plated mechanism. Open or closed hole mechanism with or without ´E´ mechanism and optional ´B´ footjoint. Traditional or ´Shaped´ headjoint with 9k riser and 9k lip plate and riser options.
